Birthday Parties

Welcome to one of the most amazing hands-on experiences that your children are likely to have!

So how does it work?

Unlike some other types of party entertainment, the children are not just sitting watching someone else - this is a hands-on experience.

The children are divided into teams and each team will do the same activities, moving on to the next challenge as they finish the previous one.

With most of the puzzles, the aim is to complete rather than compete. We do not focus on 'winners' and 'losers' - everyone finishes feeling like a winner!

What Is A Puzzle Party?

We come to you, either at home or in a hall and we take the children on a unique journey through the whole world of puzzles.

They will come across a wide range of weird and wonderful challenges that initially seem easy, but which suddenly become much more difficult, if not apparently impossible! The children then make them possible. As a result, everyone leaves feeling wonderful and with a huge sense of achievement.

"It was my daughter's 7th birthday party and in her opinion it was the best."
Lalage Mittns, Swiss Cottage

How Old Should The Children Be?

The puzzles are suitable for children aged five and up all the way to adult!

Each programme is tailored to suit the age group and is differentiated according to the ability of the group. If you have a range of ages at the party, we will take this into account.

How Long Is The Puzzle Programme?

Depending on the age of the children, parties last for either 75 or 90 minutes. The entertainment fits nicely into a two-hour party, leaving you the remaining time to serve a meal. We suggest that you feed the children at whichever end of the party is nearest to a natural mealtime.

"All the boys and girls at the party thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They were totally absorbed for the whole programme... and the adults loved it too!"
Jan Evans, Wood Green

How much does the party cost?

Prices vary according to the length of the programme and the location of the party. You may also have special requirements, which we will need to take into account. Please call us if you have not already received a quote.

Going Home Presents and Invitations

Instead of party bags, we can also provide the children with small puzzles as a memento of the party. You can ask for a range of gifts to be brought to the party so that you can choose on the day. A typical gift will cost around 99p. per head. You can also order special 'Puzzle-Party Invitations'. Please ask for details.

A few questions that are often asked

Q: How much space is needed?
A: Most people will have a large enough lounge! We will need approximately the area of a bridge table per four children. The programme works equally well whether they are sitting on the floor or at table. If you hire a hall, you should check that they supply tables and chairs.

Q: Will there be any mess at the end?
A: In a word - no!

Q: Do the children run around?
A: There is very little movement during the programme. At times, the children do move around from their main groups. However, the programme is very calm and controlled.

Q: What is the best number of children for a party?
A: There is no minimum number. Most parents will invite between 10 and 30 children, but we can accommodate many more provided you have enough space!
