There are many different types of Bar Mitzvah and Bat Mitzvah parties. The puzzles will fit nicely into all of them, creating a wonderful atmosphere and involving all of your guests in an amazing hands-on experience!
We have taken a few common party formats to demonstrate what we do, but these are only examples and a puzzle programme will be tailored especially for your event.
Parties in a hall with a served meal
After the main course is finished, one of our team will give a brief introduction to the guests about the puzzles. Then, each table of adults will receive a pack of two and three-dimensional logic puzzles and challenges. Brief instructions to all the puzzles are included.
Within the pack there will be plenty of puzzles for everyone at the table. Our job is simply to ensure that they are having a good time! Meanwhile, the children's tables are given a wider, age-appropriate range of puzzles. There will normally be several of each puzzle and a separate member of our team will be with these tables ensuring that the children are occupied and are having fun at all times. With everyone in the hall busy puzzling away together, the atmosphere is simply amazing!
The puzzling ends at a pre-determined time - often just before or just after the speeches, Grace After Meals, or before the dancing begins. Around ten minutes prior to that, we will offer any remaining solutions that are required. There is no set length of time for the programme, but we suggest somewhere between 45 and 90 minutes. There is also an option of giant team games for the children later in the event.
Parties with a buffet meal
If the meal at your party is being served as a buffet, the format for the puzzling is slightly different from that which has already been described. The sets of puzzles are given out at the start of the buffet so that people who do not collect their food straight away, can begin solving puzzles, whilst those who finish eating first will begin at that point. The children will be kept entertained at all times when they are not eating. Otherwise, the format is the same as above.
The Children's Bar/Bat Mitzvah Programme
If your party is just for the Bar/Bat Mitzvah and their friends, we have a wonderful 90 minute challenge programme of team games mixed with some of the world's most unusual puzzles. Many people will choose to hold this type of function at home with a meal either side of the puzzling. It's a huge amount of fun!
