INSET Programmes and Twilights
The Happy Puzzle Company runs a series of staff programmes that will be tailored to meet the needs of your school. We offer programmes in the following areas:- Team-Building
- Training for using puzzles as teaching resources
- Understanding and developing Thinking Skills
- Helping students to improve their performance, by learning how to overcome difficulties in their school work
Up to 144 members of staff can take part (there is no minimum number) and participants may come from more than one school as well as different key stage areas.
Highly effective and great fun, the puzzle programmes are a memorable hands-on experience that really will enthuse staff from all areas of school life.

Parents and Family Learning Evenings
At the end of a Puzzle Challenge Day, many schools choose to host a family puzzle evening, inviting back some or all of the students who have taken part in the programmes during the day with their parents or guardians and other siblings. The idea of the programme is to give the students the opportunity to demonstrate what they have learned, whilst adding in new challenges for the whole family to solve together. It’s a thoroughly valuable programme which also gives the parents an interesting insight into understanding how their children think and learn. Up to 144 people can take part (a maximum of 12 teams) and although the timings can vary, most schools will run their evening between 5.30pm and 8.00pm.
Some schools charge an entrance fee to the families, whilst others do not. Similarly, some schools will provide refreshments – or even dinner – whilst others will ask each family to bring food and drinks with them. Please call us if you would like any further information about these evenings.
PTA Puzzle Supper-Quizzes For Parents and Family Afternoons
