Puzzle Challenge Days
For Schools

Over 4000 primary and secondary UK schools have now hosted one or more Puzzle Challenge Days with The Happy Puzzle Company.

Welcome to one of the most extraordinary educational experiences your students will ever have!

Developed by Psychologist of Education, Gavin Ucko, the programme uses large 3D puzzles and challenges, which are solved by your students in teams. They all look incredibly easy… until the students start trying to solve them! Their task then becomes one of turning the apparently impossible into the possible. As they do so, each student will improve their thinking skills and team skills, whilst boosting their confidence in the process and raising their expectations of what they can achieve in the classroom.
Puzzle Challenge Day programmes are designed to suit students of all abilities at Key Stages 1, 2, 3, 4 and ‘16 to 19’, and they are also of great benefit to students with special educational needs.

Challenges are age appropriate and will link to a variety of areas across the curriculum, but especially maths.

As part of your Puzzle Challenge Day you will also have the opportunity to browse through a range of more than 400 school resources and as the hosts, you’ll be offered a variety of discounts and special offers to help effectively resource your school in further developing your students’ skills. In addition, we can help you to set up and nurture a puzzle club in school, whether as a maths project, as an activity for gifted and talented/able pupils, as part of the learning support department or as an activity for breakfast and after school clubs.
You will be supported by the outstanding and knowledgeable team from The Happy Puzzle Company. Our aim is to help your students to reach their full potential.
A Puzzle Challenge Day will be one of the most beneficial, memorable and fun programmes that your school will ever host.
