YOU WILL BE ASKED FOR THE SPECIFIC DATE WHEN YOU CONFIRM YOUR ORDER!
Choose the front page from any date since 1st January 1927*
The past meets the present with this superb 400-piece jigsaw puzzle featuring the front page of The Times newspaper from a date of your choice. These fascinating jigsaws are individually created using high quality reproductions taken from the original - and increasingly rare - archive editions dating as far back as 1927. What in the world was happening on that special day? Simply choose a date and you will be 400 pieces away from finding out! Your newspaper jigsaw assembles to virtually the actual size of the original front page (48cm x 34 cm). The centrepiece is shaped like an open newspaper and the puzzle also comes with a full-sized paper copy of the selected front page to use as a guide. Each jigsaw is made to order using high quality 1.5mm millboard and will arrive in an attractive presentation box, which, for that added personal touch, contains an area allowing you to inscribe a unique message.
*Traditionally, The Times was not published on bank holidays, therefore no pages are available for these days. There are also some copies that were never published due to industrial action or other reasons; 26th March 1955 and 20th April 1955. Front pages are also unavailable for 10th to 13th June 1970. The Times was not actually published at all between 1st December 1978 and 12th November 1979. Also note that any date prior to 3rd May 1966 will show a front cover that features a list of classified adverts (i.e. old fashioned births, deaths and marriages etc.) and not the common news format we see today, as this was the style at that time. If you are looking for a more recent date, please be aware that dates are not available until approx. six months after the date itself. For example, papers from March 2018 will not be available until the end of September 2018.
