Roll The Dice & Race Your Opponent To Complete The Square!

The aim of each of the 62,208 possible puzzles is to complete the square using the nine coloured shapes, once the seven ‘blockers’ have been positioned. There may be times when it seems impossible, but there will ALWAYS be at least one solution… and that’s why it’s called The Genius Square!

Each player receives a Genius Square grid (two are included) and a set of nine coloured shapes, plus seven ‘blocker’ pieces. Roll all seven of the dice together and place a ‘blocker’ piece into the squares matching the seven co-ordinates that appear on the dice. Now race your opponent to fill every other space on the grid using the nine shapes.

There are 62,208 possible combinations in which the dice can fall. Using a specially devised computer programme, we have confirmed that all of them have at least one possible solution. Some combinations will be easy to solve, some much harder. It’s all in the luck of the roll of the dice.

As soon as somebody finishes first, roll the dice and play again! You can play alone and challenge yourself against the clock!

Recommended by a friend, this game was an instant family hit. We ordered one for the grandparents' homes so we can have games night online and everyone can join in.
As good for one player as four (two in collaboration) and nicely made so should be hard wearing.

Glenis, 12/03/2020
Each game is different. We combined two sets so that four people could play at once. This was good fun . I think, therefore, that sets for four people should be produced at a lower cost than buying two sets. It was very easy for some members of the family. Others took longer.

Excellent game bought for Xmas. My 8 year old son loves it and my 11 yr old daughter too. It is addicitve and so simple but so engaging. Totally recommend. Just wish you could buy extra squares and blocks so more people can play rather than having to buy a new game.

Excellent game for all ages. Very simple but can be played again and again. Of course, contrary to the claim on the box, not every combination has a solution. I’m sure the makers knew that really, having worked out that there are 62208 possible combinations, it’s easier to work out that there are a few hundred impossibles. Still a great game though.

My mum chose this as a present for my son's 9th birthday and he absolutely loves it. We often play it together, taking turns to beat each other, and he just wants to keep going. He says it's the best game ever. Brilliant!

David Holt, 04/09/2019
The Genius Squares really is a genius game. My Grandson who is 9 years old and his Grandma have regular contests. He suffers on the Autism spectrum and Genius Squares is a great training aid to help combat his anxieties. His attention span has increased enormously.

Michael Stocker, 04/09/2019
Simple answer.....the game is brilliant!! Suitable for all age groups to play against each other but together.
Have no hesitation in fully recommending this game to anyone who plays board games.

Sarah Tidey, 03/09/2019
The Genius Square is the best family game we have played in years. I continuously try games to get the kids attention away from screens and this game does just that where others have failed. My 8 & 9 year old love it and play it lots. It’s challenging enough to make them concentrate and work it out and quick enough to keep their interest. When they kids have finished playing we play! It’s rather addictive! We bought another set so we can play together. It often turns into an after dinner family competition. On numerous occasions where we have taken The Genius Square to friends over the summer the adults have played it long after the kids have lost interest !! This usually results in them instantly going on online and buying a set. We love it!

I have played this with oap’s down to 11 year olds with great success. Going to take it to France soon to try it with my five and a half year old grandson. Love it myself and easy to transport with sensible sized pieces. Thank you for an innovative new game

Sally Gardiner, 03/09/2019
“Fun for all the family” can rarely be applied but The Genius Square ticks (or should I say fills) all the boxes. A simple concept that can be played alone or with others and a session can be short or long. It’s enjoyed by young children and my 92 year old mum was ecstatic the day she won her first game!

Janet Phillips, 03/09/2019
My son (36 years) was the first to purchase it for his Nan's 87th birthday. At the party were 2 of her 7 great grandchildren. All age groups had so much fun that I then purchased 4 of the games ready for future family gifts. This really is a game that suits all ages so no one can get board with it. Games are always a tradition on Christmas Day in our family so I know this will definitely be played then. We play it as the winner plays the next person on the list when several are playing so it’s also quite competitive and compelling!

Christine Booker, 03/09/2019
The Genius Square really is fun for any age. I have played it against my 5 year old Grandson. He won two games and I won two games, but he still had to complete his square! The look of happiness on his face was brilliant. My Grand daughter aged 10, was struggling a bit so had guidance from her Dad. Her brother aged 8, completed three separate squares in the time. I was amazed at the speed in which he solved the square. They were all really happy with their success. Now they like to come and visit as I have some 'cool' games!

Morag Green, 03/09/2019
I love this game, whether playing on my own or against someone else. It’s brilliant! I play on my own, or against my husband or my grandson... we all love it! It travels well too... it’s easy to set up, no long list of rules to worry about, and it’s good for getting the brain cells working. A really great game

The Genius Square is brilliant! In a moment it can take you from smug satisfaction to annoying frustration as you complete the Square. It must be good because we already have 3 Squares in our family.

Janet Morgan, 02/09/2019
We find it a wonderful way of entertaining the grandchildren. It still stumps us and more often than not they win. An amazing game which you don’t get tired of playing.

Sean Powers, 02/09/2019
I regard the Genius Square as one of the best puzzle toys I have ever owned. My 6 year old boy and I play every chance we get, he will get it out and ask to play and it holds his attention for ages. Still optimistic I’ll see the same combination twice, but after nearly a year of playing it’s not happened yet! A rare game that sees a young boy put down his electronics to play a traditional game.
Well done!

Diana Birch, 02/09/2019
We love it. It has become THE game of the summer. My grandchildren, myself and friends all play. My 8 year old granddaughter, who normally won't sit still for 5 minutes, plays for ages on her own. The long train journey to Cornwall passed quite quickly thanks to Genius Square.
I am going to give it to several families for Christmas.

Melanie Hartmann, 02/09/2019
I bought it for our grandchildren - and what a success it is! Our grandchildren love it - but so do their parents and grandparents! It is a great game - and the fact that there is always a solution to it, is amazing and fascinating. It was a very good buy!

I love it. My husband and I, both well into our 70s, keep it out on the table all the time and play it (separately) almost every day. And despite my female genes and therefore poor spatial awareness, I'm amazed to discover that I'm much better at it than he is. Haven't had the chance to try it out on our 8 year old grandson yet, but I think he'll love it. A great little mental workout, and a good de-stresser.

Jo Masterson, 02/09/2019
My daughter Emily says, “it’s really fun, helps with my maths and coordinates. I love the speed and beating mummy!”

Bridget, 31/08/2019
I'm a private maths/11+ tutor and this game is absolutely brilliant for improving my students' spatial awareness. They love it - always helps the learning process if they enjoy something!

BRIAN O'DONNELL, 05/06/2019
Thank you for the game - I played it with my niece at the weekend and she loved it. It’s her new favourite game! Her mum and dad love it because adults can play with kids on an equal level.

Roc Walker, 25/04/2019
The puzzle arrived and it is fascinating!
My 8 year old granddaughter loves it and certainly holds her own against me.
In general, each game only takes a few minutes so she doesn’t lose concentration. I am now trying to persuade her parents to buy one.
I would recommend it to anyone.

Sarah Ann Whitehead, 02/04/2019
Just to say we absolutely love this one - although annoyingly my daughter's much better at it than I am. She's 12, I'm 54 - so we're a good age span for being able to say this spans generations :-). It's just really good. More please!

Debra Sobel, 22/03/2019
Outstanding. Nobody in the family can put it down. We are actually getting a second set - it’s that good! Best game any of us has
ever played!

Alison, 09/02/2019
Hugely satisfying

Robert, 29/12/2018
Simple and excellent game
