Step back in time with this beautifully detailed 1931 Mercator Map of the World by Ernest Dudley Chase, recreated as a 1000 piece jigsaw puzzle.

Originally produced in the early twentieth century, this illustrated world map combines traditional cartography with playful pictorial elements, including animals, landmarks, sailing ships and mythical sea creatures.

Designed using the Mercator projection, the map presents a fascinating historical view of the world, complete with period place names and decorative details that reflect the cultural perspectives of the time. The artwork is rich, engaging and full of small discoveries, making it an especially rewarding puzzle to piece together.

The jigsaw is made to order for you by hand. It’s a process which takes time and is completed in stages. Once the glue has been applied to your puzzle, it needs to be stored for a few days in a humidity-controlled environment, so that the glue can dry with the puzzle remaining in perfect condition. Only then can the puzzle be cut and packaged for you.

We therefore ask that you allow up to 10 days for your jigsaw to arrive (although generally it's much quicker).
