Hello everyone and welcome to this month’s Happy Puzzle competition!
For those of you who are new to this, for 14 weeks over lockdown we had an absolute blast creating weekly puzzles which were being received by well over 50,000 people each week. We had thousands of entries and each week a winner was drawn at random from the correct entries. As the weeks passed by, the puzzles were getting more and more ambitious and in the end, Gavin had to concede that he did not have the time to produce a new one every week. So we decided to make it a monthly thing, with the puzzle coming out at 7pm on the first Tuesday of each month.
Here we go then!

As we come to the end of the summer holiday's, I reflect on my own summer with my family. The pattern mainly stayed the same, whereby we would spend the whole week thinking of new and exciting places we could take the children, and not being able to think of anywhere, only to remember on Sunday evening that the UK is full of beautiful landmarks to explore. So that is the theme for this months competition.
Below are 20 images of 20 famous landmarks or destinations in the United Kingdom. However, they have all been altered slightly to make them a bit harder to recognise.
To win the £25 Happy Puzzle voucher, you first need to work out where each of the mystery locations are. Once you have done that, you need to order them in location from the northern most point of the UK to the southern.
To win the competition, you need to tell me which destinations would fall in place 4 and 16 if you were listing them from north to south. Remember, if more than one location falls in a city, you need to dig deeper to find out where in the city it is located.

The competition closes at 11.59pm on Tuesday 30th September 2025. Both the answers and the winner will then be drawn at random and revealed in next month’s puzzle on Tuesday 7th October 2025! My decision will be final!

Now back to August's competition...
This was probably the highest number of entries we have seen, but as many worked out correctly, the song I cant get out of my head is Oh When The Saint's Go Marching In. If you didnt quite work out why... if you had answered each question correctly, you would have got a letter A-G. If you had guessed every answer correctly, you would have had all the musical notes to When The Saint's Go Marching In.
