This richly detailed 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle is based on an original artwork by British artist Donna Flowers-Dorning and captures the golden essence of a summer’s day on the Amalfi Coast.
Set on a sun-drenched balcony in Positano, a freshly baked pizza, a chilled glass of spritz, and a wide-brimmed hat rest on a traditional ceramic-tiled table. Wrought iron railings frame a view of cascading homes painted in sunset shades, perched high above the turquoise sea. Lemons hang in the warmth of the afternoon, evoking the sights, scents and flavours of southern Italy.
Italian Summer is part of the Summer Holidays collection - a glorious celebration of food, colour, and coastal charm.
About The Artist
A lifelong creative, Donna Flowers-Dorning studied Art at college and went on to study Fashion at UCLAN in Preston. While she has always painted for pleasure, it was during lockdown that she developed her 'Still Life' series, drawing inspiration from patterns, plants, books, nostalgic food and drink, views, and artwork. Each piece is carefully composed to spark joy and evoke a sense of warmth and familiarity.
Donna's work is known for its vibrant detail, often incorporating text and pattern to create rich, expressive compositions. Her art is currently exhibited at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge, Sweet Magnolias in Hay-on-Wye, and Still Life in Ulverston. For Donna, creativity is a source of relaxation and joy—something that shines through in every piece she creates.
