Part of the Quintessentially British range this 1000 piece jigsaw is a colourful scene and nod to the large house boat communities seen around the Hebden area that include libraries and allotments. The view looks out onto the ' Mayroyd Moorings' where a cosy breakfast scene of jam on toast and a cup of strongly brewed tea sits by a vase of sunflowers, vintage fabric and an inspirational book titled “Narrowboat Nomads” by Steve Haywood.
About The Artist
A lifelong creative, Donna Flowers-Dorning studied Art at college and went on to study Fashion at UCLAN in Preston. While she has always painted for pleasure, it was during lockdown that she developed her 'Still Life' series, drawing inspiration from patterns, plants, books, nostalgic food and drink, views, and artwork. Each piece is carefully composed to spark joy and evoke a sense of warmth and familiarity.
Donna's work is known for its vibrant detail, often incorporating text and pattern to create rich, expressive compositions. Her art is currently exhibited at Heart Gallery in Hebden Bridge, Sweet Magnolias in Hay-on-Wye, and Still Life in Ulverston. For Donna, creativity is a source of relaxation and joy—something that shines through in every piece she creates.
